Steel padel hall
Covered padel courtsin a steel hall
Demand for covered padel courts is growing fast. More and more clubs, entrepreneurs and investors choose a steel hall: stable, durable and playable all year round. We design, produce and build a complete covered padel venue, from foundation to LED lighting.
- Designed to the EUROCODE standards
- Steel from our own factory
- 15-year warranty on the steel structure

Why a steel hall
Stable, durable and built for wind and weather
A steel hall gives your padel courts stability, a long lifespan and protection against wind and weather. Players stay dry and the courts wear less.
The steel structure comes from the Jonkers Bouwmetaal factory in Urk, the steel builder behind I-Padel with more than 40 years of experience. We design every hall to the EUROCODE standards, so it meets all requirements for wind and snow loads in the Netherlands and Germany.
The structure is made of high-grade S235/S275 steel with a durable epoxy coating. Optionally we hot-dip galvanise the steel using the duplex system: maximum protection against corrosion, even in high humidity or on the coast.

Structure and finish
How an I-Padel hall is built
Designed for intensive use and as little maintenance as possible.
- Steel columnsSized for the wind zone of your location.
- Insulated PIR roof panelsAn insulated roof, so the hall is comfortable to play in all year round.
- Wall panels in RAL coloursWith a durable polyester coating, available in various RAL colours.
- Closed side wallsFully closed side walls of PVC textile or clear PVC.
- Aluminium box guttersBox gutters and downpipes in aluminium for professional water drainage.
- Calculated for your locationLocation, wind zone and subsoil determine the calculation, so the hall exactly matches local conditions.
Existing foundation
Your tennis foundation as an advantage
Already have tennis courts? Then parts of that foundation can often be reused as the ring foundation for the new padel hall or canopy. That saves construction costs and build time, without giving up stability or quality.
Our engineers look at what is already there at each location and advise on the best technical solution. So you know in advance what you can reuse and what has to be new. Read more about the foundation of a padel court.
- Existing tennis foundation often reusable
- Lower construction costs and shorter build time
- Assessment by our engineers per location

Consultation and site analysis
We discuss your plans and look at the site: subsoil, wind zone and any existing foundation. You then receive a price indication for the hall with courts.
- By arrangement
Design, calculation and permit
We design the hall to the EUROCODE standards and calculate the structure for your site. We also help you with the building permit at your municipality.
- Own factory
Production of hall and courts
The steel structure of the hall and the indoor padel courts are made at Jonkers Bouwmetaal in Urk. No middlemen, so short lines of communication and consistent quality.
Through to handoverFoundation, installation and handover
Experienced teams build the hall, the courts, the glass, the artificial turf and the LED lighting, with an eye for detail, safety and appearance. After that, the 15-year warranty on the steel structure applies.
Return
An investment that pays for itself quickly
A steel canopy is durable and a smart investment at the same time. The hall lasts for years, needs little maintenance and you rent out the courts all year round. That gives the best return per square metre.
An I-Padel indoor padel court starts at € 23,000 excl. VAT, excluding the hall. See what an indoor padel court costs or request a price indication for hall and courts together.
Is your site in a residential area or subject to noise limits? Then we fit the hall with noise-reducing walls or acoustic panels.
- All yearplayable and rentable
- Lessmaintenance and wear
- From € 23,000per indoor padel court, excl. VAT and hall

Frequently asked questions
Questions about a steel padel hall
Is your question not listed? Give us a call, we are happy to help.
Does a steel hall meet the requirements for wind and snow?
Yes. We calculate every hall to the EUROCODE standards, for the wind zone, subsoil and snow load at your location. That applies in both the Netherlands and Germany.
How is the steel of the hall protected against rust?
As standard, the S235/S275 steel gets an epoxy coating. Is the hall on the coast or in a humid environment? Then you can opt for hot-dip galvanising using the duplex system, for maximum protection against corrosion.
Can we reuse the foundation of our tennis courts?
Often, yes. A tennis court already has a foundation, and parts of it frequently serve as the ring foundation for the hall. Our engineers assess that per location: what is sound stays, the rest we build new.
Is a steel padel hall suitable for a location with noise limits?
Yes. With noise-reducing walls or acoustic panels, the hall also fits in an urban area or at a location with strict noise limits.
What is included in a complete covered padel venue from I-Padel?
The complete foundation and steel structure, glass walls with professional fixing, high-quality LED lighting and artificial turf to the FIP and Kiwa standards. We give a 15-year warranty on the steel structure.
