What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a dynamic and accessible racket sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a rectangular court measuring 6.1 by 13.4 meters, approximately half the size of a padel court. In the Netherlands, a minimum back run-off space of 2.5 meters and a side run-off space of 2 meters is strongly recommended. The pickleball court is divided by a net and the game is played with a pickleball paddle and a plastic ball with holes.

Pickleball rules
The rules of pickleball are easy to learn:
-
Serve:
The ball must be hit underhand and land diagonally in the opponent’s service box. -
Bounce:
Both players must let the ball bounce once before it may be hit. -
Rally:
After the first bounces, the ball may be played either out of the air or after a bounce. -
Non-volley zone:
The area close to the net — also called the “kitchen” — is a zone where volleying is not allowed.
